AQHA Commanders Whiz - Breeding Season is near!

Postby tinasi » Thu Jan 14, 2010 6:12 pm

I've been given the "go ahead" to post our stallion "Jimbo" up for stud for the 2010 season.

Info:
DOB 2006
AQHA Registered as Commanders Whiz
Pedigree: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/commanders+whiz
Dark grey w/ base coat being bay
15.1h.
Website: http://www.commanderswhiz.com

Sire is Remin Whiz ($155k LTE) and Remin Whiz was shipped to Italy a couple of years ago so there won't be many of these babies in the U.S. His dam is an NRHA money earner and AQHA ROM earner.

Jimbo himself is a NRHA money earner, Lawson and Morrison trophy winner first time in the show pen. He's a very flat and sweepy mover for a reining horse. This will be his first year standing at stud and we are looking for quality mares to breed to him. We will breed no more than 10 mares this year. The introductory stud fee is $1,000 and that includes the chute fee and first shipped semen. I will offer discounts to mares who have a performance record, is a proven producer, or is a daughter of a well known proven sire.

He is a VERY quiet and exceptionally well mannered stallion. He loves attention and loves to be pet and scratched. He's never offered to be mouthy or loud in anyway. He is eagar to please and both of his trainers have bragged about his trainability and desire to do right.

He was in training with Rob Huddleston his 2yo year up through August of '09. We made an executive decision and moved him to Creekside Reining to be under the guidance of Heather Johnson. Rob showed him in NC and won $3,500 in a futurity his first time in the pen. He's been going through an adjustment period learning Heather's ways, but we are fully confident that he will excel in the pen as a 4yo. She will be taking him to his first shows of the year at the end of this month. We're excited about his future.

You can see that ride here:

Here is another video of him just moving around the pen. I had asked Heather to make a vide of him just moving around so folks interested in breeding to him because of his all-around type movement could see. Keep in mind he has not had a lick of western pleasure training.

And on to the pictures...

Thanks, we are pretty excited. I may be working out a deal with someone right now and my mares may be bred to him after all.. If so, can't WAIT to see what Sparkle throws. :)

After a few successful shows Jimbo's LTE has passed $4,000... We're super excited because him and Heather really seem to be clicking now! If you have a really nice mare, please contact me for a possible breeding discount!

Congratulations on his success. Many people go thru several horses and never get a winner!!

I hope he continues to do well.
