Smith Ride and wagon train

Postby man from snowy river » Thu Feb 25, 2010 12:22 pm

April 3rd and 4th is the first of this years Smith rides. There is plenty camping in a great camping area and its alot of fun. Its a social ride and not a scenic ride so if you want come on up and join us. We have plenty place to stay and pens for horses over night just give us notice. Depending on the weather we may even set up camp there and join in on the festivities.

The ride is about 12 to 15 miles with a lunch break inbetween. It costs $5 to ride per rider and $15 for a campsite and $5 per person camping per night.

Shoes are recomended. Lots of dirt roads that are rocky.

Hope to see some of you there

did this last summer with ash and had a blast; she earned some cowgirl points and was excited. maybe we can get the fireman to go as well, camp out and enjoy the weather... assuming it's better then than it is now :D

Hey Tina yes there are wagons too and it is a great ride for wagons. The wagons ride up front and horses at the back. They can call Don Smith at 256-605-4654 for more info. The August ride is the biggest and there have been upto 250 horses and 60 wagons. Like I said its very social...LOL I do not remember the web site addy and he does have fliers i am sure that he will mail you. Hope this helps. jamie
